Michelle: I found this difficult to navigate virtually. I kept getting turned around. I definitely think it would be more effective as a physical walk so I could see more of the intricacies.

Josh/Kai:This was interesting. It was easier to navigate virtually, though I'll be interested to see how the pacing works ou when I physically take the walk. The dual audio wasn't as distracting as I thought it might be. Narratively speaking, the directions were good and subtle, though some more info on the world might have been nice, somehow. I enjoyed taking this walk physically. I tried to snap photos of anything mentioned in the audio, but at times I got a little mixed up about the exact pacing and had to replay a bit here and there to make sure I was at the right point in the Park Blocks. This might have been made more difficult by the fact that I walk through the Park Blocks every day to go to and from school, so my brain really wants to go into autopilot. It was fun, though the ending definitely feels a little bit abrupt? I was left wanting to know more about this person and the orange wristband and what exactly they did to the character with Josh's voice. The audio was well balanced between being understandable and confusing, so definite kudos for that. An interesting play between the Google Earth walk and the real walk, is that the former Noodles and Co referenced in the walk is still a Noodles and Co on google maps, adding a fun extra element of atemporality.

Helen: This was interesting to do virtually. I definitely couldn't find the small things we were supposed to, despite totally knowing what a few of them meant since I live around here. It will be fun to do the walk in person and find them one by one. I loved taking this walk in person! It was really interesting, because I walk around this area a lot, but never that specific path, so it was really kind of fun to wander around a way I don't usually and look for the little things used for the prompts. The narratives are also really cool and strong and I love the idea of like, wandering into these places and inadvertantly causing some supernatural encounter to occur. There was one thing on the map I wasn't able to find, but I think I remember Helen mentioning it was grafitti, so it's possible it's just been cleaned up or had something put over it. While looking for it, however, I did find an amazingly bizarre sticker on a street sign, and snapped a picture of that instead. All in all this was a lovely little pseudo scavenger hunt via an unusual path through my neighborhood.
